The Museum of Dark Places

The Museum of Dark Places was an evening of performances, talks and walks I curated in spaces around the Museum of London in November 2016. It involved mythical creatures, experimental choirs, a talk on apocalyptic literature, a thought experiment on night walking, a tour of night sounds, and a performance called ‘In the darkness they swing their manes like pendulums’.

Participants included Nicky Deeley, Musarc, Caroline Edwards, Matthew Beaumont and Rosie Edwards.

Here's a short film of the evening.

I edited a booklet for The Night Museum programme organised by the Museum of London (Oct - Nov 2016). Designed by Polimekanos, it includes texts on LOSS, DARKNESS and ENDINGS by Joanna Walsh, Frances Morgan and Matthew Beaumont, as well as drawings by Nicky Deeley. Interspersed throughout the booklet is a series of objects that form part of the Museum of London’s vast and fantastic collection.
