Tate / Serpentine / ACE

In 2008 I was commissioned by Tate, Arts Council England (London), and the Serpentine Gallery to explore opportunities for the visual arts sector in London to work together on a programme for the 2012 Olympics. I carried out six months of research which included conversations with seventy key directors, curators and potential stakeholders to gauge opinion on potential activities. Interviewees included Sheena Wagstaff, Iwona Blazwick, Hans Ulrich-Obrist, Polly Staple,Vicente Todoli, Okwui Enwezor and Nicholas Serota.

I worked with Julia Peyton Jones (Serpentine Gallery), Caroline Collier (Tate National) and Julie Lomax (Arts Council England) on the project and reported to a Steering Group whose members included Jenni Lomax, Kathleen Soriano and Ralph Rugoff.
