This book came out of a two-year project I developed with artist Marjolijn Dijkman called History Rising. It is made up of visual and written essays, an interview between myself and Marjolijn, an inventory of works and documentation of exhibitions in museums, galleries and an artist-run space in the UK, Brussels and New York.

The book is designed by Swiss graphic designer Salome Schmucki and was published by Onomatopee in 2015.

An open book with text on both pages. The left page includes three small black and white photos of a thatched cottage. The right page features a framed sign in a garden.
An open book spread with text and five photographs depicting architecture, people, and a stone sculpture.
Two photos show sculptures of stacked red, yellow, and blue rectangular boxes containing tools and domestic items. One is in a museum, the other against a white background.
A large, colorful geometric mobile hangs from a vaulted wooden ceiling with circular lights.
An abstract mobile sculpture made of red, blue, yellow, black, green, and purple geometric shapes suspended from the ceiling and arranged on the floor of a minimalist room.
A book spread featuring museum scenes: an old building, an overhead view of a gallery with many exhibits, and a tall glass display case in another gallery with an ornate balcony.
A two-page spread from an art catalog, featuring a historical forge scene on the left and a tall metal ring sculpture in a gallery on the right, surrounded by descriptive text.
Two open book pages displaying photographs of various art installations, including display cases, sculptures, and accompanying text.
