46 Brooklands Gardens

Firstsite,
Close

This publication came out of a long-held ambition of mine to work in Jaywick, a seaside town near my home-town of Colchester in Essex. Nathan Coley’s temporary sculpture, 46 Brooklands Gardens, caused a nationwide debate about housing and access to art. The book constitutes a photo essay, showing the unique make-up of the self-build architecture of the town that Nathan drew on to develop his proposal. It is designed by Stuart Smith and Victoria Forrest, with photographs by Keith Hunter.
